What this is

Double Taken helps adults check whether a dating photo appears to match public web images (same face and/or the same file). Results are similarity leads and links to public pages. They are not proof of identity, not a guarantee someone is safe, and not a consumer report.

What this is not (FCRA and similar laws)

Double Taken is not a consumer reporting agency and does not provide consumer reports under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or similar laws. You must not use it to make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, tenancy, education, benefits, or any other FCRA-covered purpose. Do not present a verdict as a background check, criminal record, or identity verification to an employer, landlord, lender, or court.

Age and minors

You must be 18 or older. You must not upload, search, or share photos of anyone you know or believe to be under 18. Do not use the product to identify, locate, or contact minors.

Allowed use

Use searches only to help you decide whether to continue a dating conversation or to share a private case with a safety buddy you trust. You confirm you have the right to submit the image (for example a screenshot someone sent you in a dating context).

Prohibited use

Do not use Double Taken to harass, stalk, threaten, dox, extort, or surveil someone. Do not run searches on strangers you are not actually talking to. Do not scrape, resell, or bulk-export results. Do not try to bypass rate limits, credits, or age gates. We may suspend accounts that look like abuse.

Results

Matches can be wrong, outdated, or about a different person who looks similar. You must open the source links and judge them yourself before you act. We do not guarantee uptime, completeness, or that a search will find anything.

Credits and billing

The first search on an account is free. After that, credits are sold as one-time packs or optional weekly/monthly refills, billed by Stripe at the prices shown at checkout. A search that errors is refunded as a credit; we do not keep that search. Unused pack credits stay on the account. Cancel a refill in the Stripe billing portal. Chargebacks and tax are handled under Stripe's and your local rules.

Safety-buddy links

A share link is private, expires in about 48 hours, and only shows that case. It is not a public profile. Do not post it on social media.
